Four Reasons to Avoid the "Multiple Streams of Income" Trap in Your Network Marketing Business

Whether you are a newbie or a seasoned network marketer, you have probably heard the gurus talk about how to earn more money by creating multiple streams of income. Unfortunately, most network marketers don't realize what a trap this can be. Here are four compelling reasons to avoid the 'multiple streams of income' trap.

#1- It Just Doesn't Work

Have you ever taken the time and thought about all those affiliate programs you joined and what you have paid for s some of them? How about the money they have bought in for you? I don't mean potential, but right now. I suspect you will come up with an answer that you don't like.

#2: Your Prospects Are Getting Hammered

Are you considering how much your prospects are being hammered with all kinds of advertisements? The competition is fierce. They are bombarded by advertisements from TV, radio, newspapers, books, and videos. What they need from you is focus. The more narrow your focus, the better y our prospects and customers will see you as someone of high quality and integrity. Keep in mind that no one who is serious about building a business will commit unless they view it as high quality.

#3: You Will Have Your Prospects Running for The Nearest Door

Another problem with promoting a ton of opportunities is that you will end up undermining the very network you are trying to build. Your prospects will have a hard time viewing you as a focused person if you promote a smorgasbord of products and services. They will think you don't know what you want and don't even have a identify.

Unfortunately, your promoting multiple streams of products and services will result in no loyalty, trust, and network. Plus, you will end up wasting lots of time and money while searching for more opportunities in order to create more streams. Think carefully about this statement from Michael Dlouchy in his ebook, 'Success in 10 Steps':

'Given your skills, your knowledge, your time, your resources, and most of all your results so far, are you better off focusing on one big profit center' Or are you better off sifting through (and spending money promoting) a ton of affiliate programs to find a few that work well??

#4: You Lose Your Uniqueness

When you promote multiple streams of income in your home business, a side effect is that no one remembers your uniqueness, your USP, your brand. This includes the media, prospects, customers, etc.

But if you are very focused, this will attract prospects and associates. They will know they are teaming with someone who has a vision and will be excited about being part of something big and important. They will know exactly why they are joining with you,

So, these are the four compelling reason why it is important to avoid the multiple streams of income trap in your network marketing business. Stay focused. Find a mentor who will help you stay focused in one home business niche if this is an area that is a struggle for you. Doing so will help you to become much more successful
